Product Overview
S‑204 is hexylene glycol (2‑methyl‑2,4‑pentanediol), CAS No. 107‑41‑5, molecular formula C₆H₁₄O₂, molecular weight 118.17. It is a colorless oily liquid with a mild sweet odor and moderate hygroscopicity. Containing both polar hydroxyl groups and nonpolar methyl branches, it dissolves in water and alcohols while remaining compatible with aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. It can serve as a coupling agent in coatings, cleaners, hydraulic fluids, and textile and leather auxiliaries.

Directions for Use
Coalescing aid for waterborne coatings: add at 2%–10% of total formulation;
Cleaners: add at 1%–5% of total formulation.
Precautions
Keep away from ignition sources and heat. After prolonged storage at extreme high or low temperatures, slight separation may occur; stir until uniform before use. Performance is not affected.
Storage & Transportation
1. Store sealed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, away from ignition sources and heat.
2. Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.

Available in 200 L plastic drums.
